Sidepad is a superimposed application. It lets you create labeled notes, and link and group the notes. You can create concept maps, ER diagrams, flow charts, or you can create diagrams in your own model. You can also use it as a research tool because you can maintain notes and reference external documents and sub-documents from any component of your drawing. Sidepad can work with selections in documents created in (for) these applications: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, MS Internet Explorer, HTML, Windows Media Player. Sidepad uses SPARCE, a middleware architecture and implementation for superimposed information management.
